PACE PROGRAM

Ygrene Energy Fund

Ygrene finances qualifying upgrades through PACE, which works quite differently from a loan. Here is how the program works.

What PACE is
PACE — Property Assessed Clean Energy — is financing created under Florida law (Florida Statutes §163.578), offered only where your county or municipality has chosen to take part. Ygrene Energy Fund provides the money under those local agreements.
How you repay it
Instead of a loan with monthly payments, the funded amount is repaid as an assessment on the property’s annual property tax bill, spread over a long term — up to 30 years in Florida.
It follows the property
The assessment is attached to the property rather than to you personally. If you sell, the remaining balance can pass to a buyer who agrees to assume it.
How you qualify
Qualifying looks mainly at the property itself — property taxes current, no mortgage arrears — rather than a traditional credit score. You also have a three-business-day right to cancel after signing.
